Review sites can be genuinely helpful or simply marketing in disguise. A few checks tell the two apart before you trust a recommendation.
Disclosure and Independence
Trustworthy sites say plainly how they earn money, usually through affiliate links, and still publish balanced assessments. Transparency about the business model is a good sign, not a bad one.
Consistency and Detail
Look for specific, checkable detail: licence names, payout timeframes, concrete terms. Vague superlatives and scores that never dip below excellent suggest the ratings are not earned.
Freshness
Operators change terms often, so a review dated two years ago may be out of date. A site that updates and dates its content is more reliable. For what a single review should contain, see comparing casino bonuses.
